Rapeseed oil effective for losing abdominal fat



If you are on a diet to lose weight, know that a few spoonfuls of rapeseed oil will help you lose the pounds accumulated around the waist. A particularly dangerous fat for health.
What oil to choose to lose those disgusting pounds that cling to the belt? An American study published on November 2, 2016 in the journal Obesity brings part of the answer.

The researchers compared the value of different vegetable oils: simple rapeseed oil, rapeseed oil enriched with oleic acid (alone or in combination with DHA, one of the two omega-3 fatty acids) Corn oil combined with safflower oil or linseed oil.

The 101 participants in this study were to ingest two smoothies per day containing, for example, 100 grams of orange sorbet, 100 grams of skimmed milk, 100 grams of raspberries and 30 grams of oil (about two tablespoons). The amount of oil should not represent more than 18% of the daily energy intake. This diet was followed up for a month, with a one-month break before resuming.

At the end of the day, rapeseed oil smoothies were distinguished as researchers measured a reduction in abdominal fat of approximately 3%, particularly in men, after four weeks.

Improved cardiovascular health

However, this fat, which is stored in the liver and intestines, promotes the "metabolic syndrome": it increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and cancers.

Not only did the volunteers begin to lose their belly, but the fat did not redistribute in areas other than the belly. In addition, their blood pressure and triglyceride levels have also improved.
